Legal
Terms & conditions
Effective June 12, 2026
Acceptance
By downloading or using OSMI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License
OSMI is free to download and use, for personal and commercial work. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the app on devices you control. You may not redistribute modified builds under the OSMI name.
Third-party services
OSMI connects to services you choose — GitHub Models, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, GitHub Copilot, Mistral and Firebase Authentication. Your use of each is governed by that provider's own terms, including their free-tier rate limits. You are responsible for the accounts you connect.
Your content
Everything you create in OSMI is yours. It is stored locally on your machine (see the privacy policy); we claim no rights over it.
Acceptable use
Use OSMI lawfully. Do not use it to violate the terms of connected providers, to circumvent their rate limits, or to build or distribute malicious software.
Software notice
The current macOS build is not notarized; on first launch, right-click the app and choose Open. Always download OSMI from this site.
No warranty
OSMI is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose. AI output can be wrong; verify results before relying on them, especially statistical interpretations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Al-Majeed Research Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of OSMI, including loss of data or loss of profits.
Intellectual property
The OSMI name, the octopus mark and the app's design are the property of Al-Majeed Research Labs, a venture of the Al-Majeed Group.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
