Questionnaire studio
Write a survey that holds up. OSMI checks every item as you type, estimates how long it takes to finish, and lets you drop in validated scales instead of inventing items from scratch.
Write better items
Each item is flagged live for the classic problems — double-barreled wording, leading or loaded phrasing, vague frequency words, double negatives and over-long stems — while a running estimate turns “this feels like a lot” into an actual minutes-and-burden number.
Adapt a validated scale
Insert a tested engagement scale — behavioural / emotional / cognitive, or vigour / dedication / absorption — in either a general framing (“I participate in my studies”) or an AI-context one (“when I use generative AI…”). OSMI even warns when you mix the two, because they measure different constructs.
Find your participants
A built-in recruitment toolkit lists channels beyond Reddit — paid panels, registries, targeted social — with cost, speed and fraud-risk at a glance, generates a recruitment post with a QR code, and hands you attention-check and bot-screening guidance.
In research
Turn research mode on and the Questionnaire studio appears in the sidebar. Draft your instrument, pilot it for length, score it cleanly in Datasets, and recruit — all in one window.
