Four frontier models, zero billing
OSMI ships with GPT-4o mini as the fast everyday default, with GPT-4o, DeepSeek V3 and Llama 3.3 70B one click away. The only limits are GitHub's own free-tier rate limits — there is nothing to top up and nothing to expire.
Sign in once, in the browser
Authentication is GitHub's own browser flow. OSMI never asks you to paste an API key and never proxies your traffic through a middle server — prompts go from your machine to the model endpoint directly.
More than text
Responses stream in live, and on the GPT-4o family you can attach images and ask about them — screenshots of output, figures from a paper, a chart you want explained.
In research
The same free models quietly power OSMI's research tools: statistical interpretation, literature-review auto-fill and AI note editing all run on the model you pick here. A free GitHub account is enough to run an entire research workflow.
